• Learn your new business and learn as much about it when you can.  You don't have to be an expert in your field the first week but know enough to assure your belief in your company if you partner with a company seeking  representatives.
• Never take advise from someone who is not financially successful and secure.
• Set and record scheduled goals.
• Stay focused on your goals.
• Keep your overhead and acquisition costs down. (Don't go buying $3,000's worth of flashy full color marketing material.  Open your mouth.  It's free and the rest will follow.
• Follow through with your commitments.
• When obstacles arise (and they will arise), don't ask what you did wrong.  Ask yourself,  "how can I improve on this situation and how can I make it better."
• Manage your finances.  If you find you are spending 80% of your profits on your wardrobe, then you may want to consider a career in the fashion industry as your true passion.
• If needed, find a compatible business partner.  "Two heads are better than...."  Nothing's better than a supportive partner.  If you find there is someone who compliments your weaknesses while you anchor them with your strengths, consider a better half.

Take a Moment

Take a moment to mentally compile a list of all the things that would make you feel successful.  Both concrete and abstract.  Let's say your list looks something like this:

• Retirement fund
• Own my own home
• College tuition "Paid in Full"
• Affordable insurance
• New BMW
• Excellent Physical and Mental Shape
• Time Freedom
• Enriched Spirituality
• Respectful and loving relationships

From your own list, what item would be at your apex of this mountain of success you have built?  Capture that image in your mind.  Maybe it was a new BMW.  (Some people or maybe most would think that was shallow. That's OK, because you and I know that everybody likes something "Shinny and New"!)  Whatever it is you choose, Capture it mentally then Post it!  If it was something like college tuition "Paid in Full", picture yourself writing that check, write the check and post it on your wall where you can see it EVERY DAY!  Click here for this month's "Featured business opportunity".
